I felt like I was in pretty good shape for 43. I could run 5 miles, do 10 pull ups, bench press my weight. I was exercising a lot and eating pretty well but even with all that I wasn't entirely happy with what I saw on the scale or in the mirror. I felt like I was putting in a lot of effort but not getting a lot of results. I needed a way to change things up and bust through the plateau I was at. The timing was perfect when Ray said he was looking for people to try a new 8 week nutrition and exercise program he developed. I signed up and committed myself to doing everything I could to stick to the plan he gave me.
He started by taking some time to find out what I had been doing in terms of diet and exercise, what kind of equipment I had access to, what my current knowledge was, and what I wanted to achieve. He then tailored his program to exactly what he thought I needed to do to achieve my goals. The program was challenging but certainly doable. I learned about High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and intermittent fasting. I learned some new movements to help me shake up my weight lifting routine. I learned the daily calorie and protein levels I should be at and the best kinds of food to eat to meet those levels. Ray provided the right amount of motivation and insight throughout the program and made adjustments as needed.
During the 8 weeks of following the program I lost 12 pounds of body weight while adding muscle. I developed good eating habits, my clothes are fitting better, I am sleeping better and have more energy throughout the day. Committing to Ray's program gave me the direction and accountability I needed to make real change. I highly recommend that you see what kind of plan Ray can develop for you.

I’ve been working with Ray as my trainer since last summer. Before we began, we discussed my goals, what I want to change (health and body wise) and any health issues I was struggling with. He created a workout schedule & daily nutrition goals tailored to me only that was not impossible to complete. I participated in a 60 day fitness program under the supervision of Ray Castro and RPC fitness. The program was designed to be done at home and remotely (it could be done any where in the world). Ray catered the program to the equipment which I already had - which made it easy to get started. The program and mobile app was very easy to use and follow. The work outs were varied and kept my interest. Ray provided focused support throughout the program and was always available to answer any questions that I had and there were scheduled check in calls every two weeks. Over all I lost approximately 18 pounds and improved my strength. I highly recommend my friend Ray Castro and his personal training company RPC Fitness! I just completed a 60 day challenge constructed by Ray to lose fat and gain muscle and I am super happy with the results. It's totally online and just the right amount of interaction to keep you on track. Everything from nutrition assistance to tweaking the program so it works best for you, this process was really amazing. I never would have thought I'd get a personal trainer, mainly because I'm an arrogant asshole who thinks they can learn anything from watching enough YouTube videos and reading enough articles, but I learned so much over the past two months that has really been invaluable. I've already implemented some of what I've learned into the new program I started yesterday and I'm super excited to see how this effects my training moving forward. Other than that, my biggest take-aways from this experience are that my weight lifting belt now has tightened two notches, my endurance has sky-rocketed and I'm down about 10 lbs on the scale. I just completed Ray’s 8-week program, and wow! Ray’s holistic approach made it easy to get started and stay engaged the entire time. Prior to beginning the program we discussed goals, fitness levels, experience, nutrition and equipment that I had access too. Ray took all of this information and created a program tailored to me. Throughout the program Ray was always available to answer questions and provide feedback. He also made modifications to the program when necessary as I went through it. I’ve been active my entire adult life, but I’ve always struggled with proper nutrition and portioning. I have been with Ray for six months dropping two dress sizes and gaining muscle mass. Honestly, I suffer with severe depression. Last holiday season was rough for me. Paradigm shifting change to my approach and they way I think about fitness was necessary, and Ray gave me all the tools for long term change. I am currently 39 and was a power lifting, gym rat from around age 15 until my late 20's. Like many of us out there, I found demanding office work, got married, had three sons, and my priorities caused physical activity and diet to fall far down the list. I have tried many times over the years to get back on the wagon, but did so using the old methods that had worked in the past. What worked in our prime years, isn't always what's best with 40 on the horizon. I trained like I was cutting weight for a powerlifting meet, losing weight fast but always slipping up because of dietary restrictions that were just impossible to maintain in a life that wasn't 110% designed around training as mine used to be. Starting with Ray, I had to let go of a lot of habits and embrace a new way of looking at the metrics of fitness. In a little over three months, I have dropped an average of a little over 10lbs/month (32lbs). This is the aim we should strive for to establish healthy eating habits instead of a "diet" and as we know "diets" always end. Oddly, with Ray and his dietary planning, I am never, ever, ever hungry! I eat often and plenty. I eat foods that give me lasting energy and never cause me to feel those run down "on a diet" feelings. If you're looking to work with Ray, he will supply you with the tools and information for lasting success instead of the flashy gimmick, quick fix solutions that pollute our best intentions to get healthy. As with anything, it's what you put in that dictates the results because no matter what, this is YOUR health. With focus and dedication, along with guidance from Ray......there is nothing that can stop you.
